Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the ThumbLens browser extension and this website. ThumbLens is free. By installing or using it you agree to them.
1. What ThumbLens is
ThumbLens renders your own images and text inside a simulated, generic feed layout so you can judge how a thumbnail reads before publishing it elsewhere. The simulation is an approximation created by us. It is not a copy of, connection to, or a live view of any third-party website.
2. Not affiliated with YouTube or Google
ThumbLens is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or produced by YouTube LLC or Google LLC. Any third-party names used on this site are used only to describe what the tool is for.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the images and titles you use in ThumbLens. They stay on your device; we never receive them. You are responsible for having the right to use any image you load.
4. Licence to use ThumbLens
ThumbLens is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may not redistribute modified versions, or attempt to pass the extension off as your own. A paid version may be offered in future; anything that is free today stays free.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use ThumbLens to produce material that impersonates another person or organisation. Exported mockups carry a "Simulated preview" label; do not remove it or present an export as a genuine screenshot of any platform.
6. No warranty
ThumbLens is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Simulated layouts are visual approximations and change over time as the platforms they resemble change. ThumbLens makes no promise about click-through rate, views, or any other performance outcome. Decisions you make using it are your own.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of ThumbLens, including lost views, revenue or opportunities. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
8. Changes and availability
We may update ThumbLens and these terms. Material changes will be noted in the changelog with an updated date here. We may stop distributing the product; existing installations keep working as long as the browser supports them.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes protections you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
10. Contact
These terms are a plain-language draft written for a small, free independent product. If your circumstances need certainty, have a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review them.
